If you are using Windows Vista, there are two ways in which you can get to know your IP address. The first is by using the Network and sharing center and the second method is by using the command prompt. The following are the two steps.

Click on the startup menu, click on the search tab then type ‘command prompt’ and search for it to appear immediately. Now you can type in the command ‘Ipconfig’ then press on enter to view the information provided on both your local address which is your IP and all the foreign IP address connected to your computer. Your IP address will be listed next to the IPv4 Address usually starts with the digits 192.168. if you need more information apart from the IP address only, then type ‘ipconfig/all’  for a very detailed information about your network which will include the Default gateway number and the Subnet mask numbers.

How do I find my IP address in a different way? Go to the start menu then click on Networks to go to the Network and sharing window. Form this window or dialogue box, click on ‘view status’ which is next to the Local Area connection. The window for the Local Area Connection will appear and you will then click on the details tab which will show you a list of all the information about your computer connections. The IP address will be listed against the IPv4 Address in the same window.

Performance measurement is an important managerial activity because if the person cannot measure it, he/she cannot manage it. Traditionally, most organisations measured their corporate performance by reviewing the financial aspects. However, in the past decade or more, financial measures of performance have received severe criticisms mainly for being one-dimensional and naturally backward-looking and the reliance on these performance indicators has been highlighted as inadequate in many industries. The Balanced Scorecard is a management concept that balances both financial and non-financial measures in order to help an organisation gauge its performance and meet both short and long-term objectives. The concept was developed due to the realization that no single indicator of performance can measure the complexity of a company’s performance.

The BSC approach, which can be applied at different levels (total organisation, a sub-unit or even to individuals), includes indicating main elements of operations, setting aims for them, and discovering ways to measure progress towards their attainment. The traditional financial measures, considered as lagging indicators of performance, are balanced with non-financial measures, which are lead indicators and help drive future performance. The BSC measures, when taken together, provide a holistic view of what is happening both inside and outside the organisation or level.

A pest can be classified as many different things. A rat, a mouse, all insects and roaches are considered pests.
